The Roosevelt City Council has determined that specific measures will be taken to allow fireworks in designated zones within city limits. This decision comes in response to extremely dry conditions and current or forecasted weather patterns.
First Designated Fireworks Area
The first designated area is the parking lot east of the swimming pool, which will be available from July 2nd through July 5th. Because this parking lot will be blocked off, residents are asked to park along Lagoon Street.
Second Location and Restrictions
A second location is available in the parking lot north of the new baseball complex and soccer fields on July 2nd, July 3rd, and July 5th. However, officials stated that no private fireworks are permitted to be discharged at Constitution Park on July 4th.
Safety Guidelines and Cleanup
No other locations within city limits are allowed for private fireworks use. Residents are asked to be mindful and bring a bucket of water to douse all fireworks after use. The dumpsters located near both designated sites should be used for cleanup.
