Drivers traveling through Salt Lake and Davis counties face several weekend ramp closures, lane restrictions, and construction projects. Major work zones include Clearfield, Bountiful, West Jordan, and Magna, according to a report by Istvan Bartos for KSL published October 25.
In Clearfield, the southbound Interstate 15 off-ramp to 650 North closed Friday night at 10:00 p.m. The ramp was scheduled to reopen on Monday, October 19, at 4:00 a.m.
In Bountiful, a stretch of Pages Lane between 475 West and 550 West is closed for several months through January. Crews are working to relocate drainage infrastructure to support the FrontRunner 2X project.
In West Jordan, the on-ramp from 7800 South to southbound Bangerter Highway is closed for a nine-day period. This closure is to accommodate West Jordan City crew utility work on a nearby waterline.
In Magna, weekend pothole repairs require the closure of the ramp from westbound state Route 201 to Interstate 80 until Monday morning. Drivers traveling westbound on state Route 201 are being detoured onto state Route 202 to access Interstate 80.
The construction projects impacting the region include various infrastructure improvements, such as the FrontRunner 2X project in Bountiful and utility work in West Jordan.
