The Utah County Sheriff’s Office continues to provide all law enforcement services for Vineyard City. According to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, the agency and Vineyard City have maintained a productive working relationship for many years and intend to continue this partnership.
To support the community, the Vineyard division utilizes 13 sworn deputies and personnel to provide 24/7 law enforcement services. The current staffing plan consists of one Lieutenant, two Sergeants, one Detective, eight Patrol Deputies, and one School Resource Officer, supplemented by a three-quarter-time Office Specialist.
The Sheriff’s Office provides additional support to Vineyard through various specialized units. These include the Utah County Metro SWAT, K-9 Teams, Investigations Division, Accident Investigation Team, Search and Rescue, Emergency Services, and Recreation Teams.
As Vineyard has become one of the fastest growing communities in Utah, with approximately 22,000 residents, the Sheriff’s Office is implementing proactive public safety programs. These initiatives include Neighborhood Watch, NOVA, and Public Safety Fairs to serve the city's demographic of families and children.
