The Summit County Fair has announced its schedule of upcoming events, which includes several community pageants, livestock competitions, and ticketed rodeo performances. The lineup spans from May through August, featuring activities at the Ledges Event Center, the Large Arena, and various locations in Coalville.
Early summer events include the Summit County Rodeo Queen Pageant on May 16 and the Miss Summit County Scholarship Pageant, held at the North Summit High School Auditorium on June 13. An Open Horse Show is also scheduled for a date to be determined.
Beginning August 1, the fair festivities include food booths, a beer, wine, and spirits garden, and a demolition derby in the Large Arena. Other activities on this date include a DJ in the entertainment tent and a free foam cannon event at the multipurpose field.
Exhibitions and livestock events will take place throughout early August at the Ledges Event Center and Livestock Pavilion. Scheduled entries include 4H exhibitions, home arts, fine arts, horticulture, and floriculture. Specific livestock activities include rabbit and poultry judging, as well as a youth pet fest.
Competitive events also feature various archery opportunities, including youth and adult fun shoots and competition shoots. The Little Buckaroo Rodeo is scheduled for August 4 and August 5.
The latter part of the fair features PRCA Rodeo performances in the Large Arena on August 6, August 7, and August 8. These are noted as ticketed events.
On August 8, the schedule includes a Park City Lions Early Bird Breakfast at Coalville City Hall, followed by a parade on Main Street in Coalville at 10:00 a.m. The day also concludes with the Jr. Livestock Sale in the livestock building and various entertainment tent performances.
