Wellsville City officials have released the December 2025 newsletter, outlining holiday schedules for city offices and upcoming community initiatives like National Wreaths Across America Day.
Mayor Thomas Bailey, the City Council, and city employees expressed appreciation to residents for their contributions to the community while wishing everyone a safe Christmas and New Year.
The Wellsville City Office and Court will observe specific holiday hours. The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24th. It will be closed on Thursday, December 25th and Friday, December 26th. From December 29th through December 31st, hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the office closing on Thursday, January 1st for New Year's Day.
On December 13th at 10:00 a.m., individuals and families are encouraged to participate in National Wreaths Across America Day. The event aims to place wreaths on the graves of the 379 veterans buried in the Wellsville cemetery. Residents can sponsor a wreath for $17 by bringing a check payable to Wellsville City to city offices or via the Wreaths Across America website. Sharp Transportation and the Wellsville City Historical Committee are sponsoring the event.
New winter parking regulations are currently in effect through April 30, 2026. According to Utah State Law, no parking is allowed within 10 feet of the road edge on any city street between the hours of midnight and 8:00 a.m. This regulation applies to all vehicles, boats, campers, trailers, and construction equipment. Citations will be issued for non-compliance.
Additionally, the city reminded residents that disposing of storm water or ground water from a sump pump into the sewer system is prohibited. This includes discharging sump pump water into sinks, toilets, bathtubs, or floor drains.
The Hyrum Library has scheduled several activities for December, including a family movie screening of How To Train Your Dragon on December 8th, a Christmas Craft for ages 5 to 11 on December 9th, and a teen activity on December 19th. The pickleball courts are now closed for the season.
