The Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Interim Committee met to address a variety of topics, including data center policy and wildfire updates. The meeting agenda included presentations from several state agencies and an audit report.
Discussions regarding data center policy included presentations from the Division of Water Quality, the Division of Water Rights, the Division of Wildlife Resources, the Office of the Great Salt Lake Commissioner, and the Department of Environmental Quality. The Office of Energy Development also provided a presentation on the subject.
Additional agenda items included a 2026 fire season update titled 2026 Fire Season by the Numbers and an audit report presentation from the Office of the Legislative Auditor General.
The meeting was held at the 110 Senate Building.
