The Brigham City Library has opened registration for its summer reading challenge, inviting both children and adults to participate in the "Unearth a Story" program through July 18.
How to register and participate
According to the Brigham City Library, participants can register for the reading challenge by visiting the library between June 1 and July 18. The program requires attendees to pick up an age-appropriate activity log and complete the listed tasks.
Prizes and submission deadlines
Upon turning in completed activity logs, participants may choose a small prize. The library noted that all game boards must be submitted by August 1, with grand prize drawings scheduled for August 3.
Children's storytime sessions
The library has also scheduled several Summer Storytime sessions designed for children ages 3 to 6. These 45-minute sessions, which include stories, activities, and crafts, require a parent or caregiver to attend with the child.
Upcoming dates and availability
Upcoming storytime dates include June 16, June 22, and July 6. As of mid-June, some sessions have limited availability, with certain dates showing as few as nine seats remaining.
Summer Lego Club details
Additionally, the library will host a Summer Lego Club on July 9 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Rooms 1 and 2. The event is designed for Lego enthusiasts to engage in an hour of creativity; however, the library reported that this specific session is already full.
