The Box Elder County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, to consider several proposed text and zoning map amendments, according to a September 3 notice.
The hearing is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Box Elder County Commission Chambers, located in the Historic Courthouse at 01 South Main Street in Brigham City.
The agenda includes four specific items:
1. An amendment to Section 5-1-70 regarding lot standards and street frontage in the Land Use Management & Development Code.
2. An amendment to Section 5-6-060(C) to allow existing accessory dwelling units to function as short-term rentals.
3. A zoning map amendment for 4.1 acres near 3724 N 6000 W in the Corinne area, requesting a change from A-20 (Agriculture - 20 acre lots) to RR-1 (Rural Residential 1 acre lots).
4. An amendment to Chapter 3-4 regarding the Commercial & Manufacturing Zone of the Land Use Management & Development Code.
