Box Elder County has issued a first notice for the upcoming general election scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026, according to a September 2 statement from the Box Elder County Clerk.
The election will be held to elect candidates listed on the regular general election ballot.
According to the notice, mail-in ballots will be sent to voters beginning 21 calendar days before the election. On election day, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Two vote centers will be available for in-person voting or assistance from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on General Election Day. These locations include the Box Elder County Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building in Tremonton and USU Brigham City. Election Systems & Software ADA ExpressVote marking devices will be available at these sites.
Early voting is scheduled to occur from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. between October 27 and October 30, 2026, at the Box Elder County Clerk's Office located at 1 South Main Street, Suite 10, in Brigham City.
The county will conduct logic and accuracy tests for ballot counting equipment. A pre-election test is scheduled for October 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., and a post-election test is scheduled for November 12, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Both tests will occur in Suite 10 of the Box Elder County Courthouse.
An election audit required by the Lieutenant Governor's Election Policy is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at the Box Elder County Courthouse. Members of the public are invited to witness the audit.
To be qualified to vote, individuals must be U.S. citizens, residents of Utah for over 30 days preceding the election, 18 years of age by November 3, 2026, and registered to vote within their specific voting district or precinct. Voters should be prepared to show photo identification.
