Cam Bryce rushed for 209 yards on 21 carries to help Lehi defeat Weber 28-14 on Friday, Sept. 11, in Pleasant View, according to a September 17 report.
Sophomore Hendrix Cluff contributed two punt returns for touchdowns during the game, totaling 108 punt-return yards. Cluff's performance earned him a spot on the Deseret News list of top Week 5 performances statewide.
The game began with Weber taking a 7-0 lead after quarterback Carter Payne threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Creed Devries. Lehi responded with a 28-yard field goal by Finn McBride and a 16-yard touchdown pass from Briggs Jensen to Cam Wren on the final play of the first quarter, giving Lehi a 10-7 lead.
Cluff's two touchdown returns in the second quarter extended the Lehi lead. Although Weber cut the deficit to 22-14 following a 70-yard return of a tipped pass, the Pioneer defense prevented further scoring. Sophomore defensive back Eli Cole recorded two second-half interceptions, while senior linebacker Colt Kelley recorded eight tackles, three hurries, and three pass deflections.
Bryce added a 9-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to finalize the score. Lehi's total rushing yards reached 312, supported by Sam Verbecky's 58 yards on 11 carries. Jensen finished with 134 passing yards and 25 rushing yards.
Lehi is scheduled to host rival Skyridge on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. for the Region 3 opener.
