The final day of the preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson was scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Provo Courthouse, according to a notice from the Utah Courts. The proceeding was slated to include a live stream for viewers via YouTube.
According to the court notice, twelve seats were available for members of the public to observe the hearing. Public seating was to be managed through the distribution of wristbands starting at 9:00 a.m. for those in the designated public queue.
Individuals waiting in line were instructed not to interfere with courthouse access or impede the general public. While large items such as tents, blankets, inflatable mattresses, coolers, or large bags were prohibited, small portable chairs were permitted for those waiting in line.
The court required all attendees to comply with the decorum order and follow directions from law enforcement and courthouse security personnel. All individuals entering the courthouse were subject to security screening.
Electronic devices, including cell phones, were not permitted inside the courtroom. The Utah Courts requested that all attendees respect the judicial process, law enforcement, the parties involved, and courthouse staff.
