Kaysville was one of 57 Utah cities participating in the 2026 Utah Wellbeing Survey, which was conducted by Utah State University to help communities understand resident priorities and perspectives, according to a September 8 report.
The survey results were described as very positive, with residents rating Kaysville highly for safety, family life, and overall quality of life. Among the 316 residents who participated, 232 provided feedback through open-ended questions regarding what they value about the city and what could be improved.
Key strengths identified by participants include the local people and community, with residents frequently mentioning friendly neighbors and a sense that people look out for one another. Residents also expressed a desire to preserve the city's small-town feel, specifically noting the importance of quiet neighborhoods, mature trees, and rural character.
While residents value the city's parks, trails, and proximity to the mountains, the survey highlighted concerns regarding growth and infrastructure. Specifically, residents expressed concerns about how growth affects traffic, roads, water, and open space. While some residents support additional housing and economic development, many emphasized the need to plan growth alongside the infrastructure required to support it.
To address community connection, the city is investing in new opportunities, such as the Kaysville Fieldhouse being constructed in partnership with the Davis School District. The survey results indicated that residents want amenities like restaurants and local businesses that fit the existing identity of the community.
