Salt Lake County and Washington County libraries both updated their digital catalogs on June 17, showcasing a range of new reading materials including children's nonfiction and top-ranking fiction titles.
Salt Lake County new children's books
The Salt Lake County Library catalog features several dinosaur-themed titles for children, such as 'Lots of things to know about dinosaurs' by James Maclaine and 'Dinosaur destruction' by Jerry Pallotta. The library also highlighted staff favorites and various nonfiction works, including Sam Kean's 'Dinner with King Tut: how rogue archaeologists...' and Sophie Elmirst's 'A marriage at sea.'
Washington County top fiction titles
Washington County Library's recent hardcover fiction list is led by 'Whistler' by Ann Patchett, which holds the number one position. Other high-ranking titles on their New York Times Best-Seller list include 'Yesteryear' by Caro Claire Burke at number two and Maggie O'Farrell's 'Land' at number three.
Additional Washington County fiction rankings
The Washington County catalog also noted movement in several other fiction rankings, including 'The Correspondent' by Virginia Evans and 'Road Trip' by Mary Kay Andrews. Additionally, multiple titles by author Matt Dinniman, such as 'Carl's Doomsday Scenario' and 'The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook,' appeared within the top 15 list.
