Search crews rescued an injured paraglider on the north side of Mount Timpanogos on August 6, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office.
The man, who is in his mid-30s, crashed while paragliding near Mt Mahogany before landing near the north end of Mount Timpanogos.
The emergency call regarding the crash was received at approximately 9:30 a.m. on August 6. To assist in locating and retrieving the individual, a DPS helicopter and an AirLife air ambulance were deployed to the mountain.
Sgt. Ormond of the Utah County Sheriff's Office stated that the paraglider was located and hoisted off the mountain by the DPS helicopter crew. Following the hoist, the individual was transferred to a waiting ambulance.
According to Sgt. Ormond, the man sustained a broken leg and some other minor injuries during the crash.
The incident occurred on the north side of Mount Timpanogos after the individual had been flying near Mt Mahogany.
