The Brigham City Library has announced several upcoming educational and community events for June, including a scheduled Library Board meeting on June 23 and continuing sessions of its Big Reads youth program.
Upcoming Library Board Meeting
The Brigham City Library Board will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, June 23, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Room 3. The board, which includes six members appointed by the Mayor and one City Council member, typically meets on the third Tuesday of each month.
Big Reads Youth Program Details
The library's Big Reads program for children ages 7-9 will continue throughout the month. A session is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, at 10:30 a.m., and another will take place on Wednesday, June 24, at 11:30 a.m. These weekly sessions include stories, activities, and crafts.
Future Pages & Paws Session
A future session of the Pages & Paws program, where children read aloud to Farnham the service dog, is scheduled for Friday, July 10, at 2:20 p.m. at the Brigham City Library.
Orchard Elementary PTA App Success
In Orem, the Orchard Elementary PTA announced it has successfully signed up more than 50% of Orchard families to the Honeycomb parenting app. The achievement earned the PTA a grant from Honeycomb to assist in further community building.
Ongoing Orchard School Programs
The Orchard Elementary PTA continues to manage various school programs, including the Spring Choir for grades 3-6 and the Minion Kazoo Club for first and second graders.
