Certain property owners are being allowed back into areas impacted by the Cottonwood Fire. According to the Beaver County Sheriff, access is being granted to Merchant Valley, Hi-Low, and Kents Lake.
This access is permitted today and tomorrow between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. However, overnight stays are not allowed.
The purpose of allowing reentry is to enable property owners to assess damage and prepare their homes for floods or other dangerous weather conditions.
Homeowners are required to first register with the Beaver County Sheriff before entering the area.
