Cloudflare founder Matthew Prince is publicly urging Vail Resorts to sell Park City Mountain Resort, the largest ski area in the United States. According to The Colorado Sun, Prince believes the company should transition to an "asset-light" franchise model rather than owning 42 resorts globally. Prince, who grew up working as a ski instructor at the resort, stated he is prepared to invest $500 million into snowmaking and lift upgrades if the acquisition proceeds.
New Indoor Golf Studio Opens
In Hildale, a new indoor golf simulator studio known as The Birdie Box officially opened its doors on April 8. Founded by local entrepreneur Avery Hammon, the facility at 1065 W Utah Avenue offers digital courses ranging from Pebble Beach to St. Andrews. The studio operates seven days a week with a weekday discount of $30 per hour available Monday through Thursday before 5:00 PM.
Logan Restaurant Fundraiser Announced
A Logan restaurant is hosting a fundraiser to support a family injured in a May 13 nine-car pileup. As KSLTV reported, owner Saboor Sahely announced that Angie's will donate 20% of its proceeds from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, to help cover medical expenses for Joshua Babbs and other victims of the crash.
