The Midvale City Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, to consider several municipal items, according to a September 17 notice. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Midvale City Hall and will include a public hearing regarding a zoning code amendment.
During the scheduled public hearing, the Commission will consider a Midvale City initiated zoning code text amendment to Section 17-7-1.4 in the Single Family Residential-1 Zone. This amendment involves corner lot exceptions to permit garages to encroach into front setbacks. If the item is forwarded, the City Council is scheduled to hear it on or after the October 6, 2026, meeting.
Additional discussion items for the meeting include a General Plan Update presented by Community Development Director Adam Olsen and Wasatch Front Regional Council Staff. The agenda also includes a review and approval of minutes from the August 26, 2026, meeting.
