The Salt Lake County Planning Commission is scheduled to meet on Sept. 16, 2026, to address land use applications and a proposed reorganization of Title 19 Zoning, according to a September 2 notice.
The meeting agenda includes a request from Sage Homes for the Ranches at Rose Canyon Subdivision Plat. The proposed 10.53-acre project is located at 14423 South Rose Canyon Road in a FA-2.5 zone. Planner Justin Smith is assigned to the discussion and motion regarding this application.
Additionally, the commission will discuss an ordinance amendment project intended to reorganize Title 19 Zoning. This project is to be discussed in three phases. During this meeting, staff will present an overview of the entire amendment project and conduct a work session for phase 2. This phase includes chapters regarding specific use standards, temporary uses, site development standards, off-street parking and mobility, landscaping and screening, signs, flood hazard regulations, flood damage prevention, geological hazards, the airport overlay zone, the foothills and canyons overlay zone, historic preservation, and the PC planned community zone.
