The Timp Fire was discovered Friday morning in American Fork Canyon, located above Tibble Fork in Utah County.
The fire was initially estimated to cover about 5 acres.
According to an 8:29 a.m. post from Utah Fire Info, firefighters are conducting an aggressive initial attack.
Resources being used in the response include multiple helicopters and numerous ground firefighting resources.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
