Kane County School District announced the addition of three new teachers to various schools within the district, according to a September 3 report. The new educators will serve students at Lake Powell School, Kanab High School, Kanab Middle School, and Valley Elementary School.
Cara Greenwell has joined Lake Powell School in Bullfrog after relocating from West Jordan. She has experience teaching kindergarten, first, and third grades. Greenwell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science, a Master of Education in School Leadership, and Early Childhood endorsements, with minors in Spanish, Social Studies, and Reading.
Kathlyn Wagner will serve as a secondary math teacher for both Kanab High School and Kanab Middle School. Wagner earned a Bachelor’s in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University and a Master’s in Public Health Nutrition from Utah State University. She previously worked as a paraprofessional and completed student teaching at Canyon View Middle School in the Iron County School District.
Jubal Schneider has joined Valley Elementary as a 4th-grade teacher. Schneider earned an Elementary Teaching License after working as a paraprofessional at Kanab Elementary. He previously taught 5th grade at Cottonwood Elementary in Colorado City, Arizona, and has a background in IT and private-sector employee coaching.
The Kane County School District expressed appreciation to Greenwell, Wagner, and Schneider for choosing to serve the district's students.
