The Iron County Planning Commission and Iron County Commission will hold public hearings to consider a proposed zone change for a property in Iron County, according to a report published August 21.
The hearings will address an application by Platt & Platt, Inc. to change the zoning of approximately 91.69 acres from Agriculture 20 Acre (A-20) to Industrial (I).
The Planning Commission was scheduled to meet on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 5:30 PM at Festival Hall, located at 105 N 100 E (2nd floor) in Cedar City, Utah, to provide a recommendation on the zone change.
A subsequent County Commission meeting was scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Iron County Courthouse, located at 68 S 100 E, Parowan, Utah.
The subject property is located near 6800 W and 200 S in Cedar City, Utah, specifically within Section 15, T36S, R12W, SLB&M, Iron County, UT, with APNs E-0213-0219-0000.
