A Colorado man accused of killing his wife in 2020 has been arrested in Boulder County, according to a September 6 report. Barry Morphew was arrested on an Alamosa County warrant for failure to comply.
Morphew had been out on a $3 million bond while awaiting his murder trial. He was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run in Denver on Aug. 26. Court records indicated his GPS data showed him driving to the Denver International Airport at the time of the crash.
The terms of his bond restricted his travel to limited reasons, such as work, medical appointments, and court hearings.
Morphew has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. He is scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing on Tuesday, while his murder trial was scheduled to begin next summer.
