The Brigham City Library has opened registration for its summer reading challenge, an educational program designed for both children and adults. Participants can register at the library between June 1 and July 18 to participate in the seasonal event.
Summer reading challenge details
The summer reading challenge requires participants to pick up an age-appropriate activity log and complete various tasks. According to the library, completed logs must be turned in by August 1, with grand prize drawings scheduled for August 3.
Interactive storytime sessions for children
In addition to the reading challenge, the library is hosting several interactive sessions for young learners. A summer storytime event for children ages 3 to 6 is scheduled for June 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., requiring a parent or caregiver to attend. Another session for the same age group will take place on July 6 at 10:30 a.m.
P/K Book Group information
Further educational programming includes the P/K Book Group, which meets on July 9 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This book club for children and their parents features a shared book and a treat.
The library continues to offer various registration windows and event dates throughout the summer months to encourage community engagement with literacy.
