The Parowan City Justice Court announced its upcoming closure, which is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2025. Following the closure, all existing cases currently held by the Parowan City Justice Court will be transferred to the Iron County Justice Court.

For example, individuals cited for speeding at 100 mph or over typically face mandatory in-person appearances at a scheduled arraignment. However, those living outside of Iron County may request sentencing by mail or email for such charges.

The court allows for online payments using Visa, Mastercard, or Discover via Secure Instant Payments, though a processing fee of 2.5% is applied to these transactions. Additionally, payments can be made in person at the Justice Court payment window located at 82 N 100 E, Cedar City, Utah 84720, or via telephone through Instant Payments at 435-261-7571.
In-person courtroom rules and regulations
The court maintains specific rules for those appearing in person, including prohibitions on weapons, photography, and certain types of attire. All courtroom proceedings are recorded, and only service animals are permitted in the courtroom.
