Wasatch High School film students win 3 Emmy awards

For the third year in a row, Wasatch High School's broadcasting students took home Rocky Mountain Emmy awards. The school's broadcast class was nominated for nine awards this year, winning three of the categories. Television and film teacher Corey Lang and his daughter, a student in the class, Aly Lang were at the ceremony to accept the awards.

Utahn killed while fighting Dome Fire in central California

The Dome Fire in Yosemite National Park has been burning for six days and has consumed more than 3,660 acres. Wildland firefighters are battling it in extremely rugged terrain. Ryan Cutter, 46, of Park City, was one of the two helicopter pilots killed Sunday while those efforts continued.

Snyderville Basin Recreation Seeks $71M Bond for New Facilities

Snyderville Basin Recreation is seeking voter approval for a $71 million bond on Nov. 3 to fund new recreation facilities in Summit County. Lightning kills 19-year-old hiker summiting Mount Timpanogos
