GVHS hosted several scheduled activities during the early morning hours on July 10, 2026.
Events included drama camp and various athletic sessions held at different locations within the school facilities.
Between 5:30am and 7:30am, drama camp took place in the Auditorium Band Room.
During the same time period, cheer activities were held in the New Gym. Additionally, drill practice was conducted in the Old Gym.

Oaklee Harwood of Ephraim (left) was selected as Sanpete County Sweetheart, while Abbi Millett of Chester won the Junior Princess title, during a competition at the fairpark Aug. They will reign over this year’s fair, and represent the fair and county at events through the coming year.

SANPETE, EMERY counties, Aug. 14, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Black Canyon Fire, caused by lightning on July 30 and straddling the Sanpete and Emery County border, now stands at 3,549 acres and is 26% contained. The fire is about 16 miles east of Ephraim and north of Joes Valley Reservoir.
A rodeo clown meet and greet was scheduled to take place at IFA in Ephraim. The event featured the rodeo committee and a longhorn steer named Jeffery.
