Real Salt Lake saw its MLS winless streak extend to six games on Wednesday after falling 3-4 against FC Dallas at America First Field, according to a August 20, 2026, news release.
The match, which featured seven goals, saw Dallas secure the victory with a 91st-minute shot from Ran Binyamin.
FC Dallas opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Joaquin Valiente struck a left-footed shot from the top of the penalty area. Valiente then assisted Petar Musa for a second goal in the 20th minute via a header.
Real Salt Lake responded in the 38th minute when rookie Sergi Solans scored his fifth goal in six August matches. Morgan Guilavogui brought RSL within one goal early in the second half in the 50th minute, and Diego Luna scored an equalizer in the 64th minute to end an 11-game scoring drought.
Despite the comeback, Dallas regained the lead in the 91st minute when Ran Binyamin's low-driven shot beat goalkeeper Rafael Cabral.
Real Salt Lake was scheduled to play Orlando on Saturday, August 22. Following that match, the team was set to face Club León in a Leagues Cup Quarterfinal on Tuesday, August 25.
