Rodrigo De Paul broke the deadlock in the 82nd minute, curling a long-range shot into the top-right corner following a pass from Telasco Segovia. Luis Suárez added a second goal in the 83rd minute with a left-footed half volley into the top-right corner. This marked Suárez's second goal of the regular season.
During the match, Academy product Noah Allen reached 119 appearances across all competitions, surpassing Drake Callender for the most appearances in Inter Miami history.
Head coach Guillermo Hoyos stated the match was great and emotional against a strong team that plays good football. He noted that the players expressed themselves well and performed at a high level.
