Summit County announced its 8th Community Noxious Weeds Tour, an event aimed at helping homeowners, land managers, and residents keep the community beautiful and native. The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Richardson Flat Park & Ride.
Participants in the tour will receive hands-on instruction regarding the identification of the most wanted noxious weeds in Summit County. The program also aims to teach practical and effective techniques for managing these weeds on private property.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with local experts from several organizations, including the Summit County Weeds Division, Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter, Summit CWMA, Basin Recreation, and USU Extension – Summit County.
