The Emery Town Council scheduled a meeting for 7:00 p.m. on September 9, 2026, according to a public notice posted on the Utah Public Notice Website. The meeting is set to take place at 65 N Center St in Emery.
The agenda for the meeting includes a review of minutes from Aug. 10, 2026, an invoice report, and updates from Mayor Jack Funk regarding a water task force and CVSSD. Councilperson Kim Hansen is scheduled to provide updates on town celebrations and a bingo and craft night. Additionally, Councilperson Melissa Durfey will address the Pioneer church update and the Emery emergency plan involving CERT. Councilperson Mistie Christiansen will cover planning and zoning and EEMSSD, while Councilperson Slate Stewart is scheduled to discuss recreation. The meeting will also include a report from the Fire Department Chief and an open agenda item from Daniel Tikusis regarding a cat sanctuary.
