The Washington City Land Use Authority approved a Preliminary Plat for Rio Virgin Estates during its regular meeting held on July 1, 2026. The development application, submitted by Philip Plumb, is located at approximately Smith Creek Drive and Beartrap Canyon Drive.
During the public hearing, City Planner Sebastian Ferguson reviewed the application for the project. While Board Member Bulloch opened the hearing, no public comments were made by the audience members present. Rick Meyer with Bush and Gudgell spoke regarding the item.
Following the review, Board Member Anderson moved to approve the Preliminary Plat for Rio Virgin Estates with the findings and conditions provided by staff. The motion was seconded by Board Member Davis and passed with a unanimous roll call vote from board members Bulloch, Anderson, Davis, Tupou, and Ure.
The meeting was held in the Council Chambers of Washington City Hall. Other business included the approval of the agenda and the approval of the minutes from the June 17, 2026, meeting.
