Springville Junior High School announced the start of "Be an Ally" Week through a school assembly. The initiative aims to promote kindness, inclusion, and connection among students.
According to a newsletter from the school administration, the Student Council launched the week with an uplifting assembly. The school's mission for the initiative includes encouraging students to act as allies who lift others up and foster a supportive environment.
Additional school announcements included a recruitment drive for the Cross Country team, which practices daily from 2:45 to 4:00 behind the school. Springville High School drill team auditions for students in grades 9 through 12 were scheduled through September 1, 2026.
The school's schedule of upcoming activities included several themed dress-up days and events:
Monday, August 31 featured a Red vs. Blue theme and tug of war.
Tuesday, September 1 included a Twin Day theme and a three-legged race.
Wednesday, September 2 featured a Sports/Band theme and a dance battle.
Thursday, September 3 included a Soccer Mom/BBQ Dad theme, lawn games, and a Welcome Back Dance from 3:30 to 5:30 for $3.
Friday, September 5 featured an Adam Sandler theme and mini golf.
No school was scheduled for Monday, September 8 in observance of Labor Day.
