The Springville City Council is scheduled to hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, according to a notice published August 27. The meeting will take place at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Room located at 110 South Main Street.
The agenda includes ceremonial presentations, such as a recognition from the Utah Chiefs of Police Association regarding the accreditation of the Springville Police Department. The council also plans to recognize board and commission members for their service to Springville City.
Under the consent agenda, the council will consider approving minutes from the August 4, 2026, work and regular meetings, as well as the August 18, 2026, Truth in Taxation meeting. Additionally, the council will consider a resolution to allow the city to reclaim an abandoned cemetery lot for resale, presented by Parks and Recreation Director Stacey Child.
The regular agenda features two ordinance considerations. Building Official Jonah Petersen will present an ordinance to amend Springville City Code 11-6-120(2) to move the performance guarantee fee amount from the code to the Comprehensive Fee Schedule. Planner II Carla Wiese will present an ordinance to amend Springville City Code 11-5 to adopt the Wildland Urban Interface Overlay (WUI).
The meeting will include public comment, though state law prohibits the council from acting on items not listed on the agenda. The council may also convene in a closed session if needed.
