The Springville Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, to consider a proposed amendment to the Westfields Central New Neighborhood Plan, according to a notice published August 27.
During the meeting, the commission will review a proposal by Onyx Custom Homes to amend Springville Code 11-5a-101. The amendment involves providing additional exceptions to building shading requirements for elevations facing alleys or in instances where a home is shaded by an adjacent building.
This legislative policy decision concerns architectural design standards within the Westfields Central New Neighborhood Plan. Following the hearing, the Planning Commission will provide a recommendation to the City Council, which will make the final decision at a later public meeting.
The hearing is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers located at 110 South Main Street. The public is invited to attend and comment on the proposal.
