Robert Ray “Bob” Day passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on June 7, 1943, in Delta, Utah, Day was a lifelong resident of the area and a dedicated member of his community.
Day was a former Snow College football player who went on to lead a diverse professional life. His career included roles as a firefighter, sheriff’s deputy, plumber, and grounds director for Juab County. He also worked at Kennecott and Pexton Wholesale.
Beyond his professional work, Day was deeply involved in local traditions. He served as a 4-H advisor and a high school rodeo advisor for more than 30 years. Additionally, he was a member of the Nephi Nebo Posse Riding Club for over 50 years and served on the Ute Stampede Committee for more than 25 years.
A dedicated family man, Day shared 64 years of marriage with his wife, Nan. He is survived by four children: Todd Day, Russ Day, Shane Day, and Stephanie Christensen, along with 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Day is scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah. The family has invited attendees to bring a chair for the service.
