According to an announcement from Eagle Mountain City on June 11, operations on the South Range were expected between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. that day. The city noted that while noise might be heard in Cedar Valley, both noise and smoke could be visible in Rush Valley during 15-to-20-minute individual events.
North Range activity expectations
Activities on the North Range were also planned for June 11 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., which officials said might generate noticeable noise or smoke in Tooele Valley.
Duckling rescue in Ogden
In a separate June 10 incident, the Ogden Fire Department successfully rescued several ducklings trapped in a storm drain.
The department reported responding to a call at McKay-Dee Hospital after security requested assistance because a mother duck's ducklings had fallen through a drain grate. Firefighters were able to retrieve the ducklings and reunite them with their mother, according to the department's social media post.
