CommonSpirit Health announced the appointment of Nathanael Budge as President of Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley and Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley, effective July 19, 2026. In this role, Budge will manage operations, strategic direction, and growth for both facilities.
Budge previously served as CommonSpirit Health’s Utah Market Vice President of Strategy and Growth and has acted as the interim president of Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley since March.
Jeremy Bradshaw, CommonSpirit Health Utah Market President, stated that Budge is an ideal leader due to his strategic vision, dedication to patient care, and understanding of the Utah healthcare landscape. Bradshaw noted Budge's ability to develop strategies, foster growth, and strengthen community relationships.
As Vice President of Strategy and Growth, Budge was involved in creating strategic plans for the Utah market and led the market Growth Council. His work included developing future plans for ambulatory expansion, such as surgery centers, outpatient imaging, and free-standing emergency departments across Utah.
During his time as interim president at Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley, Budge worked with leadership to recruit surgeons, improve quality measures and patient experience, and strengthen community relationships.
Budge's history with CommonSpirit Health and its legacy organizations includes four years as administrator of Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley and three years as Chief Operating Officer for both the Jordan Valley and West Valley locations.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business management from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University. Budge is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Chamber West, and resides in West Jordan.
