Priority and Review Criteria
The district utilizes a specific priority system to review and accept applications during the Early Open Enrollment period, which runs from November 15 through the first Friday in February. According to the district, students are accepted based on the following priorities:
1. Students with a sibling already attending the requested school.
2. Children of district employees.
3. Salt Lake City School District residents.
4. Residents living outside of the district.
In instances where multiple students share the same priority level, the district employs a lottery to determine the final order of priority.
