The Utah County Planning Commission has scheduled a public meeting for September 15, 2026, to discuss various agenda items, according to a September 4 notice.
The meeting is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. at 100 E Center, suite 1400, in Provo.
A public hearing is scheduled to address a proposed text amendment to the Utah County Land Use Ordinance. The proposal seeks to add data centers as a permitted use in the Mining and Grazing (M&G-1) and Industrial (I-1) zones. Additionally, the amendment would create a Data Center Overlay (DCO) zone and establish associated development standards and requirements for data centers.
Comments or information regarding agenda items must be submitted to planningcommission@utahcounty.gov by 1:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. No written comments or materials will be accepted during the meeting itself.
The meeting will be a public meeting subject to the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act. Individuals requiring special accommodations can notify staff at (801) 851-8343 at least one day prior to the meeting.
