Hyrum City residents have successfully navigated the critical summer months through water conservation efforts, leading officials to announce the lifting of all water restrictions, according to a September 4 statement.
In addition to the lifting of water restrictions, the Utah Department of Transportation scheduled roadwork on SR-101 (300 North) between 400 West and 600 West. The project, which began at approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, involved placing asphalt and performing shoulder work to improve road durability and ride quality. During the work, the road was restricted to one lane controlled by flaggers, with an expected completion time of 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026.
Prior to these updates, Hyrum City conducted an annual seal coating project from Tuesday, Aug. 18, through Friday, Aug. 21, 2026. This project targeted several roads, including those newly constructed in 2025, to protect the roads and extend their longevity.
