Hyrum Recreation has announced the return of the Jr. Jazz Basketball program. According to a notice on the Hyrum City website, the program aims to build skills, confidence, and teamwork while maintaining a focus on fun and positive competition.
The program is open to boys and girls in grades 1 through 8, with divisions organized by age and grade to ensure balanced play. Participants will receive jerseys featuring official Jr. Jazz branding.
Games are scheduled to be held on Saturdays at Mountain Crest High School from January 9 through early March. The season format guarantees eight games for every team, and players have the option to play with other youth basketball programs if needed. Tournaments are designated only for the 7th and 8th grade divisions.
Registration details for Hyrum residents include the following fees:
1st-2nd Grade: $40
3rd-4th Grade: $45
5th-6th Grade: $50
7th-8th Grade: $50
A $10 non-resident fee applies per registration. Late registration is scheduled to run from December 1 through December 15 for an additional $10 fee. Limited registration is available for the program.
