The countdown to a new school year has officially begun at Bountiful Elementary. As August brings classroom assignments, kindergarten screening, and Back to School Night, the school has released a guide to help families track important dates and reminders.
The school theme for the 2026-2027 school year is Make It Matter. Families are encouraged to use the school website's Events, News, and Live Feed tools to stay informed.
Before the first day of school on Thursday, August 20, families should log in to myDSD to review classroom assignments and accept all student notices. Other recommended tasks include completing kindergarten screening if applicable, purchasing yearbooks via myDSD, and following the school on social media.
Upcoming events include a general PTA meeting on Wednesday, August 5, at 2:20 p.m. Additionally, kindergarten families are invited to a Popsicles and Play event on the playground on Monday, August 17, from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. Back to School Night is scheduled for Monday, August 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., allowing families to meet teachers and visit classrooms.
The first day of school, August 20, will feature a red carpet for students entering through the front doors. Breakfast begins at 8:20 a.m., school starts at 8:50 a.m., and dismissal will be at 1:30 p.m. due to an early out schedule. For student safety, parents will not be permitted to enter the building on the first morning.
Bountiful Elementary is currently hiring for several positions, including a Literacy Aid, Prep-Time Specialist (P.E.), and a part-time Custodian. Interested individuals can find details on the DSD Careers website. The school also maintains summer office hours on Tuesdays from 9:00-11:00 a.m. for school-related assistance.
