The Bear River City Council will hold a meeting and public hearing on Oct. 14, 2026, according to a notice posted Oct. 8. The session is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM at 5871 North 4700 West.
A public hearing is scheduled for 7:15 PM to receive comments regarding changes to compensation for the Town Clerk, Treasurer, and Deputy Clerk/Planning Commission Secretary. This includes a possible change and adoption to the City Compensation pay Schedule for those specific roles.
The council will also consider Ordinance No. 2026-10-6, which involves amendments to the BRC Land Management and Development Code. These amendments to sections 3.19 (a) & (b) and 7.1.10 (a) & (b) aim to clarify the designation of rear yard and accessory building setbacks on corner lots, following a recommendation from the Planning Commission.
Other agenda items for the meeting include updates on an excavation permit exemption within the state highway, online bill pay, and an RV dumping station. The council will also review and approve bills, hear deputy reports, and address emergency management. The council may vote to enter a closed session pursuant to Utah Code 52-4-5.
