Centennial Middle School has issued its weekly announcements for parents and guardians, outlining several upcoming campus events and important end-of-year deadlines.
Key updates include the availability of yearbooks, details for the school dance, and information regarding the final week of the school term.
Yearbook Purchase Information
Yearbooks are currently available for purchase at the school Finance Office for $30 while supplies last. School officials noted that extra copies will not be ordered and encouraged families to purchase early.
Upcoming School Dance Details
A school dance is scheduled for Friday, May 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Boys Gym. For questions regarding the dance, contact Kristin Soerensen or Nicole Murray.
Talent Show Schedule and Logistics
The Centennial’s Got Talent program will hold semi-finals on Wednesday, May 20, and finals on Thursday, May 21, at the Centennial Auditorium. An adjusted bell schedule will be in effect during these days, though school will begin and end at regular times. Students are reminded to bring appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for activities.
End of Term Deadlines
Important dates for the end of the term include Chromebook returns scheduled for Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19. The final day of school and Term 4 is Friday, May 22, which will feature an early release.
Grades and Outstanding Fees
Parents are encouraged to review student grades and contact teachers with questions before the term ends. Additionally, all outstanding school fees should be paid through the Finance Office. Liana Mangisi, the Finance Secretary, is available for questions regarding fees.
Summer Lunch Program Details
The Provo School District will offer a free Summer Lunch Program from June 1 through July 16 at several locations, including Franklin, Provo Peaks, Spring Creek, Sunset View, Timpanogos, Westridge, Independence High, and Provo High. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Additionally, Timpview Cross Country summer training begins June 1 at 7:00 a.m. at the Timpview track for incoming 9th through 12th grade students. This free program requires no registration.
