Ballard City announced that consistent enforcement of City Ordinance 10.12.020, which concerns items not allowed in right-of-ways, was scheduled to begin August 1, 2026.
While the ordinance has been in effect since July 19, 2016, the city moved toward regular enforcement of its provisions.
The city issued a reminder to residents regarding the existing ordinance. The regulation, titled Items Not Allowed in Right-of-Way, has been part of city code for several years prior to the scheduled enforcement date.
