The Ballard Planning Commission approved a conditional use permit for the Miller West Pad during a meeting held on July 7, 2026, according to meeting minutes.
The commission recommended that the City Council approve the proposal for the new horizontal oil and gas pad.
During a public hearing, Andrea Gurr of Uintah Wax presented the Miller West proposal located on the Ronnie Miller property. The proposed pad is situated immediately west of the previously approved Super Pad and Sage Pad.
According to the meeting minutes, the project would utilize the same access point and turn-lane improvements as existing pads. Changes to the proposal included the addition of a signed waiver from a property owner within a 1,000-foot radius and the installation of directional signage to guide oilfield traffic to the correct locations.
The meeting, which was led by Chairman Joe Allred, also included annual Open and Public Meetings Act training for board members. The session adjourned at 6:30 pm.
