The 202 6 UHSAA 3A playoff bracket is officially set following the announcement of the full field and matchups. With seeding finalized, the Super Regional round is set to begin this Thursday. The series will conclude by Friday, deciding which eight teams earn a spot to compete at Lindquist Stadium in Ogden.
The top-seeded Union Cougars hold a unique advantage in the bracket as the only team to earn a first-round bye.
The high-seeded matchups feature several prominent contenders. The number one seed, Union, enters the postseason following a 7–1 region campaign led by Gannon Labrum and pitcher Ryan Oakey. They face a bracket featuring the number two seed Grantsville, who holds a 20–4 record under head coach Trevor Thornton.
In other notable matchups, the number three seed Delta faces the number 14 seed Logan. The number four seed Manti will compete against the number 13 seed Ogden. The fifth-seeded Canyon View, a recent region champion, is scheduled to play the number 12 seed Richfield.
The remaining Super Regional matchups include the number six seed Morgan against the number 11 seed Carbon, the number seven seed North Sanpete taking on the number 10 seed Emery, and the number eight seed Juab facing the number nine seed Providence Hall.
Several individual players are noted as key figures in these matchups. For Grantsville, Jordan Fawson and Riley Williams lead a lineup currently batting over .430. Delta relies on sophomore Dayson Meinhoden and junior ace Cooper Smith, while Manti features Spencer Robbins and Zach Blackham.
In the lower seeds, the number 12 seed Richfield is led by Kelby Rickenbach and Porter Brower. The number 15 seed Ben Lomond enters with senior Kai Langston and junior Koban Moyes. Meanwhile, the number 9 seed Providence Hall features Jared Wagner and Pierce Taylor.
The Super Regional round serves as the final gateway to the championship bracket. The results of these best-of-three series will determine which programs move forward to represent their regions in the state tournament at Lindquist Stadium.
