Father and son charged in deadly shooting outside of funeral in Kearns Afuhia Masiu Manatau, allegedly pulled out a gun that his son, 17-year-old Tautusi Kai Manatau, fired during a fight outside a church building. 17, 2026. A father and son were charged with murder on Thursday in connection with the shooting.

2 more arrested in connection with fatal shooting at Kearns funeral

Tevita Siope Tonga Kofe, 19, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on Wednesday for investigation of obstruction of justice. On Aug. 17, there was an altercation outside of a church, 4660 W. Vilisoni "Soni" Angilau, 18, was shot and pronounced dead shortly after being taken to Intermountain Medical Center.

The North Sevier Cross Country Team shot off into their season this week with two meets. On Wednesday, August 26th the team traveled up to Duchesne at Starvation Reservoir for their first race. In the Girls's Race, Hannah Johnson finished 6th at 22:46; Linzy Perfect in 12th at 23:33; and Taylanee Aitken in 47th at 27:57.

Price City Council and advocates address suicide prevention and community support

PRICE – During the Price City Council meeting Wednesday, Aug. 26, Price City proclaimed September as Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month following a presentation by Suicide Prevention Liaison Amanda McIntosh.
