As temperatures rise, Salt Lake County has designated several Cool Zones where residents can take a break from the heat and access helpful resources.
Specific locations in District 4 include the SLC Main Library at 400 S 210 E, which is open to all ages. The Tenth East Senior Center, located at 237 S 1000 E, serves adults age 60 and older. Additionally, the Geraldine E. King Women’s Resource Center at 131 E 700 S is available for women age 18 and older.
Residents looking to support neighbors during the heat can donate bottled water to the Gail Miller Resource Center or the Pamela Atkinson Resource Center daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Donations can also be made by appointment at the Connie Crosby Family Resource Center.
These resources are intended to ensure community members can find relief and support during rising temperatures.
